1)rename.pl

Category: Files/ Input/ Output
Level: Beginner

Description: rename.pl will read the contents of the directory specified and search for a ".xxx" string that you specifiy in the code and replace it with a new extension that you specify in the code. Good for admins who don't want to spend a lot of time renaming extensions. I ran into this before I wrote the script.

Compatibility: 5.0 (all versions)
