@Johannes: Aha, you’re right. Yes, optional has implicit constructors from const T& and T&&, but the first performs a copy (it has to), so Example 4(c) should return move(ret); to get the second one. Fixed, thanks. Good eyes!

@esgames.org: Yes, if(option) can and does use explicit operator bool. That’s considered an “explicit” request for a boolean test.
